]]> http://chasemacri.com/2007/06/06/foreign-languages/feed/ 0 Volver http://chasemacri.com/2007/06/06/volver/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=volver http://chasemacri.com/2007/06/06/volver/#comments Thu, 07 Jun 2007 04:23:17 +0000 Chase http://chasemacri.com/?p=463 Saw another Spanish language film tonight.  This time it was Volver.  Apparently, since in Spanish B’s and V’s are pronounced the same, and according to IMDB, the movie’s titled is actually said “Bowl-Bair.”  I liked it.  At first the movie seems pretty mysterious, and kind of mystical, and in the end turns out very sweet.  It was nice to see a lighter movie for a change, as the past few, though very beautiful, have been very difficult and heartbreaking.  It was a lot harder for me to catch the spanish in this movie than in Amores Perros.  It was spoken a lot faster I think, less question words.

Next up is Y Tu Mama Tambien.  I’m pretty excited.
